XL and XLT
Ford lists a 2.5L full hybrid as standard, with front-wheel drive and a power-split CVT. All-wheel drive is available on the hybrid. The 2.0L EcoBoost, rated at 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft, is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. Ford's FWD hybrid rating is 42 city, 35 highway and 38 combined. A hybrid AWD is listed at 40 city and 34 highway. Standard tow is 2,000 pounds. The 4,000-pound figure needs the 4K Tow Package on all-wheel drive.
Lariat
Lariat is listed with all-wheel drive as standard, still on the 2.5L hybrid and the power-split CVT, or on the available 2.0L EcoBoost with the 8-speed. Ford lists the Lariat hybrid at 39 city, 32 highway and 36 combined. Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is described as standard on Lariat. Seating is five. Confirm whether the Newport truck is the hybrid or the EcoBoost before you assume the mileage.
Lobo
Lobo is the street truck, not a package on an F-150. Ford lists the 2.0L EcoBoost as standard, a 7-speed automatic, and Advanced 4WD. Ground clearance is listed at 7.4 inches, lower than the hybrid. EPA figures on Ford's chart are 21 city, 30 highway and 24 combined. Towing on the Lobo block is 2,000 pounds, and payload is listed at 1,045 pounds. Ford also names a Lobo drive mode. Ask for that equipment on the sticker.
Tremor
Tremor is the off-road Maverick. Ford lists the 2.0L EcoBoost, an 8-speed automatic, and Advanced 4WD with a twin-clutch rear drive unit. Ground clearance is 9.1 inches. The Tremor description includes an off-road-tuned suspension, a 2,000-pound hitch, 400-watt Pro Power Onboard, and Trail Control. Payload is listed at 1,140 pounds. EPA figures are 21 city and 27 highway. These are allocated. Call 870-523-5559 before you drive from Jonesboro, Searcy or Batesville.
Hybrid, EcoBoost, and the bed
Ford's spec table does not publish one horsepower number for the 2.5L hybrid. It does list the drive motor at 94 kW. The 2.0L EcoBoost is 250 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 280 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm. The hybrid uses a power-split CVT. The EcoBoost uses an 8-speed, except Lobo, which uses a 7-speed. There is no manual.
Every 2026 Maverick Ford describes is a four-door SuperCrew with one bed, 4 feet 5 inches at the floor, 33.3 cubic feet, and 42.6 inches between the wheel wells. It seats five. Payload is listed up to 1,500 pounds on some FWD builds and lower on Tremor, Lobo and hybrid all-wheel drive. Towing is 2,000 pounds as published standard, and 4,000 pounds only with the 4K Tow Package on an all-wheel-drive truck. FX4 is an available off-road package on the EcoBoost, not its own model.
What Ford lists as new for 2026
Ford's 2026 Maverick page calls out the Ford Connectivity Package, included for a year, with a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices. That package is not a promise that every Newport truck has the same connected features. Read the window sticker.
Maverick is not an F-150
The 2026 F-150 is a larger body-on-frame pickup, with different cabs, beds and tow ratings. Maverick Lobo is not the F-150 STX Lobo package. If you need more than 4,000 pounds of published tow, or a longer bed, say F-150 when you call.
The 2026 Bronco is the body-on-frame off-roader. The 2026 Explorer is the three-row SUV. The 2026 Mustang is the car.
