George Kell Ford · Newport, Arkansas
The new Expedition is sold at George Kell Ford, 3710 South Van Dyke Road. Use this page to compare Active, Tremor, Platinum, King Ranch and the longer MAX, then confirm the exact SUV on the Ford lot. Horsepower and tow figures are Ford's published numbers. A sticker in the fall of 2026 may already be a 2027. Read the model year on the VIN.
Shop new Expedition inventoryFord lists a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 at 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft, a 10-speed automatic, and both 4x2 and 4x4. Standard seating is eight: front captain's chairs with second- and third-row benches. Seven is available with second-row captain's chairs. The Ford Split Gate is on the Active description. Published tow is up to 6,000 pounds on a 4x2 and up to 9,600 pounds on a 4x4 with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package. Ford says that 9,600-pound figure is for an Expedition without 24-inch wheels. MAX Active is the longer body. Ford lists an extra 300 pounds of tow on the 4x2 MAX Active, 6,300 pounds total, and up to 9,000 pounds on a MAX 4x4 when properly equipped.
Tremor is the off-road Expedition. Ford lists the High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost as standard, 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft, with 4x4, a 3.73 electronic locking differential, Rock Crawl, and 33-inch all-terrain tires. Ground clearance is listed at 10.6 inches, against 8.7 inches on most other Expedition models. Ford's model list does not include a Tremor MAX. The Tremor tow chart is up to 9,300 pounds with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package. Standard seating is seven, and an eight-passenger second-row bench is available. These are allocated. Call 870-523-5559 before you drive from Jonesboro or Searcy.
Platinum is the comfort trim, in the standard wheelbase and as a MAX. Ford lists the 400-horsepower 3.5L as standard and the 440-horsepower High-Output as available. Standard seating is seven. An eight-passenger second-row bench is available. Published maximum tow follows the 4x4 chart: up to 9,600 pounds on the standard wheelbase and up to 9,000 pounds on MAX, when properly equipped. Ford lists 4x2 on Platinum as a 2027 change. If the Newport unit is a 2026, do not assume rear-wheel drive. Read the sticker.
Ford lists the 400-horsepower 3.5L on King Ranch and MAX King Ranch, not the High-Output engine. Standard seating is seven. Ford's seating chart does not offer the eight-passenger second-row bench on King Ranch. MAX is available. Ford lists 4x2 on King Ranch as a 2027 change, the same note as Platinum. Confirm 4x4 on a 2026 window sticker before you plan a tow.
Ford lists two Expedition engines, both with a 10-speed automatic. There is no manual. The standard 3.5L EcoBoost V6 is 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. The High-Output 3.5L is 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft, standard on Tremor and available on Platinum and MAX Platinum. EPA estimates Ford publishes are 16 city and 23 highway on a 4x2 with the 400-horsepower engine, 15 city and 22 highway on 4x4, and 15/22 on Tremor. Those estimates change with the build.
Cargo behind the third row is listed at 22.9 cubic feet on the standard Expedition and 37.4 on MAX. Behind the second row, Ford lists 69.9 and 84.5. With the rear seats folded, the published maximum is 108.5 cubic feet, or 123.1 on MAX. Length is listed at 209.9 inches for the standard body and 221.7 inches for MAX. None of those figures is a promise about one stock number.
People searching this month are still asking for the 2026 Expedition. Ford's own model pages have started presenting the 2027, including a 30th Anniversary appearance package, Blue Ember Metallic, Bronze Fire, Nocturnal Blue, 4x2 on Platinum and King Ranch, and a Ford Security Package included for a year. If the Newport unit is a 2027, the sticker says so. We will not describe those 2027 changes as standard 2026 equipment.
The Explorer is a smaller unibody three-row, with a listed maximum tow of 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. This page is the larger Expedition, including MAX. If you searched Expedition and meant Explorer, say so. We will not substitute one for the other.
If you want a pickup instead, the 2026 F-150 page is the full-size truck and the 2026 Maverick page is the compact one. The 2026 Bronco page is the body-on-frame off-roader. The 2026 Mustang page is the car, and the one that still lists a manual.
