2027 Ford Super Duty in Newport, Arkansas

What's new for the 2027 Super Duty

• Two engines. Ford's 2027 pickup pages list the 7.3L gas V8 and the 6.7L High Output Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel, which is standard on the F-450. The 6.8L gas V8 and the standard-output 6.7L diesel are no longer offered.
• Tremor on more trucks. The Tremor Off-Road Package can now be ordered on the XL with the STX Appearance Package, and on Crew Cab trucks with the 8-ft bed and 176-in. wheelbase on XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum. That long-bed Tremor carries a 48-gallon fuel tank.
• XL Off-Road 35-in. Tire Package. For the XL Crew Cab 4x4 single-rear-wheel short box: LT285/75R18 tires on 18-in. wheels, a factory ride-height increase, a rear electronic-locking differential, a front limited-slip differential and a full-size matching spare, with no decals. Ford says it works with an available Ford Performance 12,000-lb Warn winch.
• Super Duty Carhartt Package. New for XLT Crew Cab 4x4 single-rear-wheel trucks: Carhartt-themed cloth interior and graphics, a dark-painted grille, 20-in. machined and painted wheels with all-terrain tires, LED lighting and off-road running boards.
• More technology up top. On-Board Scales with Smart Hitch is now available on Platinum, and a digital rearview mirror is available on Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum.
• Proud to Honor. Ford has announced a limited-edition Proud to Honor package for F-250, F-350 and F-450 with red, white and blue graphics, darkened exterior accents and black wheels. Ask us whether it can be ordered yet.
• New colors. Neptune Blue and Iconic Silver Metallic.

Super Duty trims, cabs and beds

The 2027 pickup comes in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum. The F-250 uses single rear wheels, the F-350 offers single or dual rear wheels, and the F-450 pickup is a dually. Choose a Regular Cab with an 8-ft box, a SuperCab or Crew Cab with a 6.75-ft or 8-ft box, and 4x2 or 4x4.

Engines, towing and payload

The 6.7L High Output Power Stroke is rated at 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft. Ford's 2027 pages list the 7.3L gas V8 at 420 hp and 445 lb-ft.Both engines use a 10-speed automatic.

Reading Ford's ratings. These maximums are for properly equipped trucks, and Ford's 2027 pages show the top figures come from 6.7L High Output configurations. Ford's towing guide assumes a 150-lb driver and a 150-lb passenger and names the exact cab, axle and package behind each number. Payload varies with configuration and accessories, and the door-jamb label governs. Packages and equipment to ask about

• Tremor Off-Road Package: 35-in. LT285/75R18 tires, front limited-slip and rear electronic-locking differentials, raised front springs, Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, Rock Crawl mode and water-fording vent tubes on Crew Cab 4x4 single-rear-wheel trucks.
• FX4 Off-Road Package: Hill Descent Control, off-road shocks, Rock Crawl mode and skid plates for 4x4 pickups.
• Fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitch prep: available on every trim and standard on the F-450.
• F-250 High Capacity Axle Upgrade Package: newly available with the 6.7L High Output, raising GVWR to as much as 11,400 lb.
• Pro Power Onboard: 400 W outlets standard from XLT up, with a 2 kW system available.
